Davis
Junction
Fire Station and Truck
|
After a new $600,000
fire station was added to the
village along with the purchase
of a $235,000 fire truck, the
town added a $5 Million 500,000
gallon capacity water tower and
a 7.5 million water treatment
facility.
Marty Sheets, Davis Junction President
said, "We knew we needed
water. It was just a matter of
money." Then came a $1 Million,
53-acre park project.
The park includes baseball diamonds,
pond, basketball courts, a sled
hill and walking trails. Davis
Junction Village Clerk, Sheryl
Hawley, said each individual project
is meant to benefit the residents
in some way. All these projects
were developed and financed through
Municipal Financial Group.
Since the refurbishing
of the Village of Davis Junction
a few years ago, the town is now
planning future expansions with
a new school (for their growing
school district), a hospital and
a 600-lot sub-division. Marty
Sheets said, "They can't
build them fast enough."
The town is now a desired place
to live. The population has gone
from 250 to over 500 in the last
5 years.
